On Tuesday, 6 October 2020, a virtual Soul Care Visit was given to all final year confirmands of the Kimberley Apostle Area.

Also invited to attend were their parents, Confirmation teachers and Rectors. In total 84 connecting points were registered and linked to a central Zoom base – some gathered in church venues and in homes and others in a hall.

The theme of the fellowship centred on moving through the three stages of Confirmation: The current state, the transition state and ultimately the readiness to live the Confirmation Vow.

Although virtual, the engagement of the audience was of great importance. A Bible word, taken from Hosea 4:6, served as basis for the gathering.

Before closing with prayer, AP Swartbooi thanked the parents, teachers and Rectors for the valuable support they are rendering to the confirmands. After the prayer, the confirmands were wished well with their preparations for their Confirmation in 2021.
