A long-awaited moment arrived on Saturday, 21 September 2019, when the priests and wives of

Protea Park Congregation departed on their mission trip to Porterville. On arrival the Rector, Community Evangelist A Aspeling divided them into groups; each group was given three family points to visit.

Thereafter, they joined the congregation choir for a choir practice, preparing for the Sunday morning divine service. After the choir practice, they went to the Voorberg Prison canteen for lunch.

The highlight of the weekend was the Sunday morning divine service which was held in a local school hall. After the divine service, the priests’ wives and the congregation members joined in fellowship, while the priests conducted soul-care visits.

They had lunch together and thereafter the Rector expressed his heartfelt thanks to all.
