Apostle P Thompson invited all congregations in his area of responsibility in Kraaifontein and the West Coast Bishop Areas to host festive music hours on Sunday 29 June 2014 at 16:00 as part of the congregational preparation for divine service for the departed.
This invitation was fully embraced by the musicians in Kraaifontein South District. Based on the logistical demands, Northpine, Northpine 1 and Bottelary Congregations were combined for this festive occasion. A festive music programme was compiled which was presented by the combined Adult Choirs, Orchestras, Children’s Choirs and Male Choirs of the three congregations. Highlights of the programme included lively and spirited performances, such as He lives and Jesus my Saviour by the adult choir. The male choir struck a beautiful cord with the presentation of an item entitled The water of life, whicht was written by the well-known local composer Nigel Isaacs, who himself is now in the beyond. Another solemnly received item was a presentation by the Female Youth Choir of a piece entitled For the unborn. This was also composed by Nigel Isaacs. The overall theme of the music hour was the proclamation of Eternal Life and Jesus as the Saviour for all mankind.
