Our Community Outreach team comprising of our Rector, one Priest, and three Deacons, two sisters and one brother arrived the school at 7h15 on Friday morning .

The school has a compliment of 17 Educators and 449 Learners. After a Prayer the team immediately set up kitchen and started to serve the children with warm soup and a slice or two of bread. It was heart-warming to observe the gratitude of the children receiving a cup of soup and bread on a cold winter’s morning, and many of them came back for seconds. We served about 500 cups of soup. Our Rector and some of the Outreach Team Members had a short meeting with the Principal of the school, Mr E Hendricks in his office. The Principal expressed his thankfulness towards us for initiating such a project in our area and assured us of his support in our endeavours. After the last bit of soup had been served , our Rector concluded the morning activities with a Prayer. We left the school premises at 8h45.
