On Sunday, 8 January 2017, District Apostle John Kriel visited Bellville South congregation.
He was accompanied by Apostles Arendse, Diedricks and Worship, as well as Bishops Adonis and Ravell.
The Bible word used for the festive divine service was taken from Deuteronomy 11, a portion of verse 12 “... the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year".
The District Apostle expounded on the Bible word, which makes reference to the physical land. This he compared to the spiritual lands, which the children of God are in. He encouraged the congregation to occupy lands that bring blessing and glory to God. Apostle M Diedricks and M Arendse were called to assist in the serving.
During the divine service the retired District Elder Kock and his wife, Doreen, received the diamond wedding anniversary blessing. The festive congregation included many who were still enjoying the festive holiday period. The retired Apostles De Vries, Diedericks and Hendricks were also present.
The choir concluded the divine service with a rousing rendition of Handel’s Hallelujah from The Messiah.
