After accompanying our Chief Apostle to the International Youth Convention, the meeting for District Apostles and the Pentecost divine service, District Apostle J Kriel returned to South Africa on Thursday 13 June 2019.

On Saturday, 15 June 2019, the District Evangelist Ernst Kuchenbecker, Rectors, along with their wives and retired District Elder Loots were blessed with the opportunity to spend some time with the District Apostle, Apostle Joubert, Bishop Rudolph and his wife. They gathered at the home of the District Evangelist on the banks of the Vaal River and enjoyed an early dinner. The fellowship evening also added to the preparation for the district service which the District Apostle would conduct in the Vaal Triangle congregation the following morning.

On Sunday morning, 16 June, the District Apostle served the Vaal Triangle District in the town of Sasolburg. Accompanying him were the Apostles J Joubert and L Meyer, Bishop V Rudolph and district leaders from the Gauteng East Apostle area.

The Bible verse which served as a platform for the divine service was taken from the book of Acts 2:47; “…Praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

The District Apostle commenced the service by welcoming the congregation and thanking them for braving the cold weather to come to God’s house.

When God calls, we must come! During the Pentecost divine service, we were reminded that the Comforter has come. Jesus came so that we can get to know God. We know God through Jesus. Jesus said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father”. God sent His Son for a specific purpose, to bruise the head of the serpent. He died for us so that we can be reconciled, and then He left. But He did not leave us on our own, He left us with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit can add value to those who believe. If we look at the life of Jesus, it is easy to understand that God could say of Him: “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased” – Jesus made it easy for God to be well pleased with Him.

The congregation was also served by the Apostles Meyer and Joubert.

The warm love of Christ and enrichment through His Word was experienced by all during the divine service.
