The weather might have been frightful, but the atmosphere inside the Claremont congregation church hall was delightful.

A few sudden downpours of rainfall before the divine service did little to deter the measures of joy which awaited the members of the congregations of Claremont, Wynberg, Lansdowne and Sunlands on Wednesday, 07 August 2019. They were invited to attend a divine service which was conducted by District Apostle J Kriel.

The combined choir braved heavy winter rainstorms as they practised weekly in order to perform their function for the divine service. On the evening of the midweek divine service, the church hall of the congregation of Claremont in Harmon Road quickly filled. The joyful harmony created by the music rendered by the choir and orchestra filled the hall with warmth and anticipation for the divine teaching which would follow.

The District Apostle based the sermon on a word from the book of Luke 12:34 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.” The Apostle Lambert and Bishops February, Hartzenberg and Bucchianeri accompanied the District Apostle. Community Evangelist R Fortune was called to serve during the divine service.

The festivities of the evening were rounded off with a vibrant rendition of Hallelujah.
