Friendship Day 2019 was celebrated on 1 September 2019 with divine services in all congregations around Southern Africa.

Members from across the region had the opportunity to invite their friends to attend the divine service, and here they could enjoy fellowship, while also having the opportunity to be uplifted and inspired by the word of God.

The Bible word for this festive service was taken out of Psalm 95:6-7, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice.”

The build-up to Friendship Day included many exciting activities. The weekend’s activities ranged from the customary Friendship walks on Saturday to projects aimed at helping our neighbour. Ministers, Young People, Sunday School children and members of all ages also used the opportunity to sing and play their instruments at various institutions around the country.
