District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service in the heart of the Cape Winelands in Cloetesville congregation on Wednesday, 25 September 2019. The congregations of Beverley Hills, Elsenburg, Idas Valley, Kayamandi-Stellenbosch, Rustenberg-Stellenbosch and Stellenbosch were invited to share in the festivities.
The Bishops L Ravell, G James and J Cook accompanied the District Apostle. All the Rectors of the Stellenbosch District were also invited to the service.
In anticipation of the blessings about to be bestowed, the church hall was filled by 19.00. Beautiful orchestral music and items rendered by the adult choir filled the hall.
As a basis for the service, the District Apostle used a Bible word out 1 Thessalonians 4:9, where it reads: “But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.”
Bishop J Cook was called to serve along.
The choir crowned the divine service with a powerful and rousing rendition of “Now thank we all our God”, thereby concluding a most blessed evening in the house of God.
