Despite the current lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, members continue serving God with their gifts in their homes.
Sunday morning divine services are currently being held by the District Apostle at the New Apostolic Church Administration office in Southfield, Cape Town and made available to members on various platforms. On Good Friday, members were invited to play along with the small music ensemble who played at the divine service point. The broadcast transmission opened 20 minutes before the commencement of the service to allow for the play along time. Additionally, items from the recorder repertoire used in 2019 were included to allow children, together with instrumentalists, to play along with their recorders.
The orchestra members were asked to submit photos and short video clips of them participating in the praise and worship leading up to the divine service, and many willing participants gladly engaged in this. This resulted in evidence that showed, despite the current circumstances, our congregation remains united and connected with God.
