On Wednesday evening, 09 September 2020, the Apostles around Southern Africa conducted the first localised transmission divine services in congregations in their areas of responsibility. The services were broadcast via Facebook Live and YouTube.

The logistics of the divine services were put in place and executed by local ministers and their teams. This allowed for blessed moments to be experienced by all who were connected, and by members who were in attendance in the COVID-19-ready congregations.

Although minor challenges were experienced, the teams learned valuable lessons in dealing with matters of this nature and will grow from strength to strength going forward.

This manner of broadcasting midweek divine services will be a regular occurrence for the foreseeable future, until such time that lockdown regulations change.

For all who are interested in viewing the midweek divine services, please feel free to visit the local congregation Facebook pages for more information. Alternatively, you can contact your local Rector or Priest for more information as we manage the gradual reopening of our church buildings.
