On Sunday morning, 27 September 2020, District Apostle J Kriel conducted a divine service in Kimberley Central congregation.

He was accompanied by Apostle B Swartbooi to this blessed encounter. This divine service was also transmitted locally via YouTube and Facebook Live.

In compliance with the lockdown regulations, a total of 120 members were in attendance, but more than 1 200 connections were seen registered for the live stream.

The Bible word for this divine service was taken from Hebrews 3:14 - “For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.”

Before the conclusion of the divine service, the District Apostle placed Bishop Edward Bhana into retirement. The Bishop served as a minister for 42 years, 23 of which as a Bishop. The District Apostle also used the opportunity to thank the Bishop, his wife, and children for their sacrifices for the furtherance of the Lord’s work. He also thanked the Bishop for being a defender of and a fighter for the faith.

All too soon the long-awaited service was over, but the message of confidence in our God will remain.
