While on summer vacation in Cape Town the General Secretary of the World Methodist Council, Bishop Ivan M Abrahams, was presented with a copy of the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church.
District Elder A Jullies, who presented the General Secretary with the Catechism, describes the meeting as informative and insightful as he was given a glimpse into the operational life of the general secretary who promised to complete his reading while en-route to Nigeria. Thereafter the Catechism will find itself filed among many other religious books in the Methodist Church Library at its headquarters in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina USA. The catechism is a systematic description of the New Apostolic Church wherein in depth theological descriptions of the New Apostolic faith is described. Earlier during 2013 a copy of the Catechism was also presented to Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square in Rome as well as to Cardinal Kurt Koch, the president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, when the New Apostolic work group visited the Vatican.
