Lentegeur congregation, which is situated in central Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town, was the venue for a special divine service conducted by District Apostle J Kriel on Sunday morning, 18 April 2021.
The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostle P Lambert and the Rectors and wives of the Bishop area.
A message to follow Christ irrespective of the different tasks that we are assigned to in the walk of our lives resounded clearly as the District Apostle elaborated on the Bible word that was taken from John 21:21&22. ‘Peter, seeing him said to Jesus, “but Lord what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I will that he will remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me”.’
Before the conclusion of the divine service, the District Apostle placed Bishop G February into retirement. As thirty-nine years of serving as a minister came to a close for the Bishop, the District Apostle thanked him for his invaluable contribution and work done with love and faith for the Lord, along with his wife and family for supporting him in his ministerial task.
The musicians who more than adequately contributed to the blessed festivities concluded the assembly with a majestic rendition of “God is our strength and refuge.”
