On Friday, 3 September 2021, District Apostle J Kriel arrived in Upington after travelling more than 800 kilometres by road.
His main objective was to conduct divine services for the members of Oosterville-Upington on Saturday, 4 September 2021, and the members of Kenhardt on Sunday, 5 September 2021. In addition to these divine services, the District Apostle also had meetings and pastoral visits with the leaders and members of the area.
The Bible word which served as a basis for the divine service on Saturday was taken from Luke 18:26. The message was that all people have a fighting chance to be saved by Jesus. To be saved, you need to be perfect in your faith and forgiveness.
The Bible word for the divine service in Kenhardt was taken from 1 Kings 19:13b. The main theme of the service was that God will call us with a soft voice if we find ourselves in places unbecoming to children of God: in the cave of disobedience, unbelief, unforgiveness, etc.
After both services, the District Apostle spent some time with the members of the congregations. To memorialize these moments, many a photo was taken and all too soon a most blessed weekend ended.
