For the congregation of Noordgesig, commemorating its 80th anniversary this year, the first visit of the District Apostle John Kriel on Wednesday, 22 September 2021, was truly the highlight for them, celebrating this special milestone.
Noordgesig is a township in Soweto, situated at the edge of the northernmost boundary of the area, but within its territory.
The District Apostle, accompanied by Apostle Sipho Mogane, shared a Bible word from Luke 5:7, "So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink."
The message of the teaching is that obedience to the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our corresponding efforts, lead to blessings in abundance, but that the key to this miracle lies in our willingness to share the blessing with our neighbour.
After the divine service, the District Apostle thanked the school principal and vice-principal for allowing the Church to use their hall for the divine service. As a token of appreciation, he presented the school with a donation, as well as some Church literature and music CDs.
To conclude the blessed evening, the District Apostle took some photographs with the members.
