The gates of  joy  opened wide in Hout Bay  Valley  on Thursday 8 May 2014.

This was as a result of the prayers of the congregants being answered when the yearning to experience a visit from District Apostle N Barnes was answered.

When the congregation was advised that such a visit was indeed on the programme for early May they could hardly believe their ears! The neighbouring congregation of  Imizamo Yethu was also invited to share in the spiritual feast.

The inclement weather did little to deter the members from being present at the divine service that evening. The District Apostle served the congregation with a well-known word from Matthew 7:14 “. . . narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Also adding to the festivity of the evening was the presence of Apostle J Stephens, Bishop C Classen and the ‘new’ Bishops A Hartzenberg, who was previously the rector of the congregation, and J Cronje.
