The recent launch of the Catechism of the New Apostolic Church warranted in depth analysis and further points of discussion among ministers of the Church.
It was for this reason that a yearlong training programme was drawn up for priestly ministers. Throughout the Cape District Church ministers have been invited to participate in this training, which is presented by the responsible bishop in each working area.
The catechism contains in-depth theological descriptions of the New Apostolic faith. As such, it can be used as a powerful tool for increasing the understanding of the faith among the members as well as those who are interested to know more about the Church.
During the opening sessions ministers were encouraged to participate and were divided into discussion groups to provide feedback. They indicated that they found this method informative and insightful.
Earlier this year Bishop J Bucchianeri presented the introductory session to the ministers of Kraaifontein Bishop Area. Bishop N Barron from Lentegeur Bishop spent time in training with the ministers a few weeks ago in the New Woodlands Church.
