To support the drive by curbing the severe impact emanating from the COVID-19 pandemic,

eleven strategic congregations were visited from Sunday 26 July – Wednesday 29 July 2020, by DAH MP Mkhwanazi and local church COVID-19 group representatives.

It was pleasing to have noticed how serious the local COVID-19 coordination structures have so far embarked on the drive, by sharing the information from the NACSA COVID-19 national group. Here the work and footprints of the MPU-LIMP COVID-19 regional coordination group which is capably led and steered by DEL Eddie Bhana and his dedicated team, has done incredible work on its part so far!

For the ‘return-to-church’ preparation on pilot congregations, each local team has displayed its unique character on the degree of seriousness to the call. Commitment, dedication, love for the Lord’s work and servant leadership attitude towards a neighbour are but a few good characteristics that were visible because of their active participation to the call.

On Sunday 16 August 2020, the following congregations will participate in the pilot project of returning to church as preparation:
- Barberton
- Dantjie
- Lekazi
- Nelsville
- Ngodini Dam and
- Schoemansdal

Congratulations are extended to all local COVID-19 structures and their representatives - “Keep up the good spirit!”
